What is Women Build?
The Habitat for Humanity Women Build program recruits, educates, and encourages women to build and advocate for affordable homes in their communities. Women make up over 50 percent of Habitat for Humanity volunteers and homeowners, yet because of lack of training, they account for less than 15% of workers on the construction site. While Women Build is designed to empower women, ALL are welcome to join. We are excited to welcome everyone to the job site to build homes and a stronger, more equitable community.
WB volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved and improves the community that we share. Really! No experience is necessary to join us at the build site.
Help us reach our Women Build 2025 goal by joining as a corporate team, community group, team of friends, or as a individual. We provide tools, materials, lunch, and Women Build 2005 branded t-shirt.
Not able to join us at a build day, donate a scholarship for someone, such as a LCSC or WWCC student to attend that is not able to cover the registration fee. Apply here https://l-cvalleyhabitat.org/women-build-scholarship-application.
